Canary Melons
Oval-shaped, with a smooth skin. The texture of the flesh is notably succulent, almost wet and semi firm, similar to a ripe pear. The melon possesses flavours both tangy and mildly sweet. Its aromatics linger with nuances of banana and pineapple and a slightly musky finish.

Casaba Melons
Ovoid to round shape that comes to a point at its stem. When ripe, its skin will be a golden yellow with hints of green throughout. Its thick, hard rind has irregular shallow furrows running from end to end. The creamy pale green to white flesh is mildly sweet with nuances of Asian pear and cucumber.

Cantaloupes
When perfectly ripe, the orange flesh is juicy and sweet. The will feel heavy versus hollow, a weightiness which is an indicator of its water content.

Crenshaw Melons
Mostly spherical in shape, it has a somewhat flattened bottom and tapers to a gentle point at the stem-end. The hard rind is yellowish-green, and has a rough corrugated texture void of netting. Its dense yet tender peach-coloured flesh is very sweet and slightly spicy.

Golden Honeydews
This somewhat oval melon fruit has a smooth, waxy yellow rind/skin, creamy white flesh and seeds. The fruit has the taste of apple, watermelon and guava combined.

Hami Melons
Hami-Gua melons are very large, more on the scale of a watermelon than a cantaloupe. They have a golden yellow, lightly netted skin and are quite hard. The inner flesh is a pale, coral color and surrounds a large central seed cavity.

Honeydews
The crisp yet juicy flesh is medium to pale green with the deepest shade occurring just below the skin.

Mini watermelons are about the size of a cantaloupe or smaller. They're sweet, crisp and very juicy. Their flesh varies from deep pink to deep red.

Santa Claus Melons
Resemble a small football-shaped watermelon. Its flesh is pale green to white in color and has a succulent texture with a mildly sweet flavour. Typically the brighter the yellow of the melon rind, the riper and sweeter it is. Its exterior skin is wrinkled, a distinguishing feature of the Santa Claus melon.
